I agree with J... Hello, my name is Johno, and I'm a churchoholic.
I agree, I should take time to get away from community, but I cannot get away from body. If I do, I will die. This might be why I have trouble with this.
I am not for name calling... Body and community are very tied together in my mind. But this article uses "community" at least 35 times and never uses the word "body"
Could this be why we are having such problems in our churches? We see them as only community and not body or body only and not community. Does this make sense to anyone?
I hate to "go there"... BUT... Are we called to be Christ's Body or Christ's community or both?
To make one word or item more important than the other has not been a highlight in my denominations background.
You can break from community, but you cannot break from the body of Christ.
That WAS a GREAT post. I totally connected with what the author said. I wish more people realized what our church culture is doing to those who are churched.

This is going to take some time to digest.
