I think we are mistaken!

We tend to believe that the first church was started in Acts chapter 2. That is a very important instance of the beginning of a church, one that we should study and know. But I don't think it was the first church. This was the first church:

1 He called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out evil* spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.

2 These are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon (who is called Peter) and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John; 3 Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; 4 Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.

Jesus was the first church planter, and he's been planting churches ever since. Is he leading your church? Do you leave a chair for Jesus at your leadership meetings? The church belongs to Jesus it's about time we allow him to lead it!
